Grooming Seminar @ the West Bend Specialty - June 27, 2025
Are you spending A LOT of money getting your PWDs groomed? We totally understand. It gets expensive. What if you could do some of that -- or all of that -- yourself? Wow - think of the money you would save. Or if you already groom, and want to get better at it -- learn what the pros know? -- we have a fantastic grooming seminar scheduled for you that you won't want to miss! The seminar will be held at Washington County Fairgrounds in West Bend, WI on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 2 - 6 p.m.. This event will be held in conjunction with our Regional Specialty and the kettle Moraine cluster, which includes conformation (Showing), obedience, rally, FastCat, shopping! and other events.
The grooming seminar will be held by the wonderful Waters family, who groom and show top 10 PWDs and National Specialty winners! They will take us through brushing, combing, nails, pads, bathing, scissoring and shaving. They will demo both a curly and wavy PWD, and then club members have the option of bringing a dog and their equipment to have the Waters assist hands on while they put their new knowledge to work. Space is limited for the Option 1, bring your dog, and you must be a club member (Membership is open for 2025-2026 now). You, as well as non-club members, may also observe the seminar and the hands on assist. If you groom and want to sharpen your skills, you want to attend.
